Hi all, Jiminy Jenny here…

Welcome to my brand new blog! To understand what it’s all about, let me start off by telling you a little about myself.

I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida (a little more than 2 hours away from Walt Disney World in Orlando) and was born into a family that just so happened to love making trips to see The Big Cheese. Not only did we go to Disney more times than I could count, but my mom was always the best trip planner. She knew where to be and when so we almost never waited in line, she knew all the best photo spots, and she always made sure we were dressed at the height of Disney fashion (anything with our favorite characters on it).

As a young adult, I’ll admit I lost touch with my Disney roots for a few years. Being fresh out of college and in the TV news field, I wasn’t able to afford the trips that I enjoyed so much in my childhood. But about a year and a half ago, my boyfriend surprised me with annual passes, and it was like I was finally able to go home again.

Now that I had a Disney newbie (my boyfriend) by my side, I found myself becoming more and more like my mom, planning every aspect of our trips to squeeze all the magic I could into each day in the parks. The idea of “Jiminy Jenny” started as an Instagram account dedicated to all my Disney pictures (so I wouldn’t have to flood my friend’s feeds with hundreds of pics). And while those pictures tell a good story, I think there’s so much more magic to share with everyone, from the seasoned Disney pros, to families planning their first getaway with Mickey. So I hope you’ll come along for the ride!
